Modifica Resolución Exenta SAG No: 5123/2021 que "Establece requisitos fitosanitarios para la importación a Chile de frutos frescos de limón tahiti (Citrus latifolia) y limón sutil (Citrus aurantifolia), producidos en Perú" (Amendment to SAG Exempt Resolution No. 5123/2021 establishing phytosanitary requirements governing the importation into Chile of fresh Tahiti limes (Citrus latifolia) and Key limes (Citrus aurantifolia) produced in Peru)

The notified document amends the existing Regulation establishing the phytosanitary requirements governing the importation into Chile of fresh Tahiti limes and Key limes from Peru. Specifically: The additional declaration established for the pest Phytophthora palmivora has been updated to state that the consignment has undergone a process including fruit selection, washing with disinfectant, brushing, waxing and application of fungicide. In addition, "consignments of Tahiti and Key limes must not contain fruit that has come into contact with the soil, either through natural fall from the tree or through direct contact caused by the weight of the branches".Further details can be found in the document attached to this notification.
