Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/490 of 21 March 2018 repealing Decision 2007/365/EC on emergency measures to prevent the introduction into and the spread within the Community of Rhynchophorus ferrugineus (Olivier)

Repeal of the emergency measures concerning the prevention of the introduction and the spread of Rhynchophorus ferrugineus in the EU territory. Specific requirement were introduced with Directive (EU) 2017/1279 to ensure the protection of Ireland, United Kingdom and Azores (Portugal), defined as protected zones for this pest. Furthermore, Rhynchophorus ferrugineus has also been listed by Directive (EU) 2018/484 as a regulated non quarantine pest for the EU territory in order to ensure that propagating material of Palmae, which is marketed within the Union is free from the pest.
