The Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture lifts the temporary ban on the importation of live fish from Italy.

Notice of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Decision No. 32/1291/1439 dated 18 October 2017 (28/1/1439H) entitled "Temporary ban on the importation of live fish from Italy", due to the outbreak of Koi herpesvirus in Italy. The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has subsequently issued the Decision No. 368/1291/1439 dated 29 April 2018 (13/08/1439 AH), lifting the temporary ban on the importation of live fish originating from Italy.
Based on OIE reports and reports received from Italy, which indicate that Italy is free of Koi herpesvirus disease. In compliance with the OIE Aquatic Animal Health Code, Chapter 10.7, the importation of live fish from Italy is allowed.
