Proposed amendments to the Standards and Specifications for Food Utensils, Containers and Packages

The Republic of Korea is proposing to amend the "Standards and Specifications for Food Utensils, Containers and Packages":
1) The use of Bisphenol A (BPA), Di-n-butylphthalate (DBP) and Benzyl-n-butylphthalate (BBP) are prohibited in the food utensils, containers and packages for infants and young children;
2) The specification for Polyethylene (PE) and Polypropylene (PP) are revised;
3) The wording for Recycled synthetic resins are revised.
