Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda would like to inform WTO Members that the Draft East African Standard DEAS 1197:2024, Tobacco and tobacco products — General requirements for packaging and labelling, First Edition, notified in G/SPS/N/BDI/90, G/SPS/N/KEN/265, G/SPS/N/RWA/83, G/SPS/N/TZA/330, G/SPS/N/UGA/315, was adopted by the East African Community Council of Ministers on 2 July 2025 as EAS 1197:2024, Tobacco and tobacco products — General requirements for packaging and labelling, First Edition.
