New GB MRLs for bixlozone amending the GB MRL Statutory Register

Bixlozone is a newly approved active substance in Great Britain (GB). An application was received by the Health and Safety Executive to set new Maximum Residue Levels (MRLs) for wheat and barley. Following assessment, new MRLs have been introduced to accommodate a new authorisation of a plant protection product in Great Britain.The Evaluation Report/ Reasoned Opinion supporting the new MRLs is available at the following link: The evaluation of new MRLs for bixlozone in or on barley and wheatThe residue levels arising in food from the notified uses result in consumer exposures below the toxicological reference values and therefore harmful effects on human health are not expected. As only default MRLs are currently in force, new MRLs are being adopted.
