Draft Commission Delegated Regulation amending Regulation (EU) 2017/625 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the categories of consignments to be subjected to official controls at border control posts

Regulation (EU) 2017/625 requires that certain categories of animals and goods entering the Union are made subject to official controls at border control posts of first arrival, depending on the risk they pose to public and animal health.This draft Delegated Regulation adds composite products, hay and straw to the already existing categories.The draft Delegated Regulation is linked to other acts which will establish new import conditions for composite products and a new list of composite products exempted from border controls, to be applicable from 21 April 2021. Until this date the current import conditions and exemptions will apply.
