Proposed Amendments to the Standards and Specifications for Foods

The proposed amendment seeks to:
1. Revise the definitions and processing and manufacturing standards of certain foods;
2. Revise the specification of methanol for General distilled alcoholic beverage;
3. Revise the storage and distribution standards;
4. Revise the use standards of "Ingredients approved for limited use in food";
5. Revise the lists of food ingredients (Annexes 1 and 2);
6. Revise the substances subjected to the maximum residual limits of veterinary drugs;
7. Establish the maximum residual limits of pesticides for agricultural products;
8. Revise the maximum residual limits of veterinary drugs in foods;
9. Revise the general test methods;
10. Modify certain terminologies and phrases to reflect the revisions of other relevant Acts.
