National Food Safety Standard of the P.R.C.: Edible Animal Blood Products

Based on document G/SPS/N/CHN/1071 notified on 30 May 2018, the standard has: Revised the scope of application. This standard now applies exclusively to edible livestock and poultry blood products made from single species of livestock or poultry blood as raw material;Removed requirements for physicochemical indices including moisture content and volatile basic nitrogen;Deleted provisions on maximum residue limits (MRLs)  for veterinary drugs;   4. Added product naming requirements, stipulating that product names must clearly specify the species of livestock or poultry used as the raw material. The detailed modification content is provided in the standard text.
