Listing of Color Additives Exempt From Certification; Synthetic Iron Oxide; Confirmation of Effective Date; Final Rule

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is confirming the effective date of 4 December 2018, for the final rule that appeared in the Federal Register of 1 November 2018, and that amended the color additive regulations to provide for the expanded safe use of synthetic iron oxides as color additives to include use in dietary supplement tablets and capsules.DATES: Effective date of final rule published in the Federal Register of 1 November 2018 (83 FR 54869) confirmed: 4 December 2018.
