National Food Safety Standard of the P.R.C.: Food additive L-alanine

This standard applies to the food additive L-Alanine produced from L-Aspartic Acid (also known as L-Asparaginic Acid or L-Aspartate) via enzymatic methods, or from starch or sugar-based raw materials via fermentation, followed by extraction and purification. This standard also applies to L-Alanine used as a food nutrient fortifier.Note: L-aspartic acid is also known as L-aspartate or L-aminosuccinic acid.The standard mainly specifies the technical requirements and test methods for L-alanine.
