The notified resolution seeks to restore Brazil's health status with regard to avian influenza and Newcastle disease, by recognizing Brazil as a country free of avian influenza and the state of Rio Grande do Sul as a zone free of Newcastle disease.This measure allows for the resumption of export certification and of exports to Chile of live birds, fertile eggs, day-old chicks, and fresh poultry meat and processed products bearing slaughter or production dates, as of 9 August.Further details can be found in the document attached to this notification.
