Proposed amendments to the Standards and Specifications for Food Additives

The Republic of Korea is proposing to amend the "Standards and Specifications for the Food Additives":
1) General use level not to eat food additives itself is newly established;
2) The terms in preservation and distribution standard and the standards for the use of caffeine were revised further clearly;
3) In case of food additives made with microorganism, the provision on the kind of dossier for the toxicological data of microorganism at submission is newly established.
