Draft Order of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine “On approval of the Procedure for monitoring and reporting on antimicrobial resistance of zoonotic pathogens and commensal bacteria”

The draft Order proposes to establish a procedure for monitoring and reportong on antimicrobial resistance of zoonotic pathogens and commensal bacteria, as well as reporting, identifying their sources of origin, and eliminating discrepancies in distribution.Monitoring and reporting will cover the following bacteria:Salmonella spp.;Campylobacter coliC. ColiCampylobacter jejuniC. jejunicommensal Escherichia coliE. coliSalmonella spp. and E. coli producing enzymes such as extended-spectrum β-lactamases (ESBL), AmpC β-lactamases (AmpC) and carbapenemases (CP);Staphylococcus aureus, methicillin-resistant (MRSA).They may cover commensal Enterococcus faecalisE. Faecalis) and Enterococcus faeciumE. FaeciumThis procedure procedure will also apply to the selection of samples from cargoes imported into Ukraine.
