Description
This Technical regulation applies to all food products that contain added sugar, except the following:
- Drinking soda that contains natural and/or artificial sweeteners such as Diet, Lite, Zero, etc.;
- Food for special dietary uses.
On 26 April 2019, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia notified WTO (SPS) about this Technical Regulation (G/SPS/N/SAU/396). Due to the valuable comments from many WTO Members, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has withdrawn this Technical regulation in order to facilitate international trade.
