Administrative Order of Saudi Food and Drug Authority Ref. No. 16428 dated 16 January 2020 (21/05/1441 AH) entitled "Temporary ban on the importation of poultry meat, eggs and their products originating from Lubelskie, Poland"

Following the OIE report, Ref. No. 32802 dated 2 January 2020, Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza Virus (HPAI) outbreaks have occurred in Lubelskie, Poland. In compliance with the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) Terrestrial Animal Health Code Chapter 10.4, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of HPAI into the country. Therefore, the import of poultry meat, eggs and their products from Lubelskie, Poland to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended. (With the exception of processed poultry meat and egg products exposed to either heat or other treatments that ensure deactivation of avian influenza viruses as well as compliance with hygiene conditions and Saudi technical standards. In addition, product come from establishments that have been approved by SFDA. And a company with health certificate issue by competent authority in Poland, approving that product has been exposed to either heat or other treatments that ensure deactivation of avian influenza viruses)
