This Tanzania Standard prescribes requirements and methods of sampling and tests for commercial varieties of aubergine or eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) of the Solanaceae family, to be supplied fresh to the consumer after preparation and packaging. Eggplant for industrial processing are excluded
