Notifications of revisions of the Ordinance for Enforcement of the Plant Protection Act and relevant requirements

The revisions of the Ordinance for Enforcement of the Plant Protection Act and relevant requirements were notified by G/SPS/N/JPN/712 on 9 January 2020 and by G/SPS/N/JPN/712/Corr.1 on 15 January 2020 respectively, and these were published in the Japanese Official Gazette on 11 May 2020.These revisions and requirements will enter into force on 11 November 2020, except for deletion of five quarantine pests from Table 1 and 2 in Annex 1, correction of country name in Annex 2, 3 and 4 and addition of 65 non-quarantine pests in Annex 5, all of which have already entered into force on 11 May 2020.The revised Ordinance for Enforcement of the Plant Protection Act and the Details of Requirements for Each of the Quarantine Pests can be viewed at the following URLs:
