Countries, regions or facilities specified by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare pursuant to Item 1 of Article 11 of the Food Sanitation Act

The amended Food Sanitation Act requires implementation of hygiene control based on HACCP for imported meat and poultry meat, and the food shall not be imported for sale, unless the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare recognizes that they are manufactured or processed in a country or region, or at a facility which takes HACCP based control measures. Japan announces the countries, regions or facilities designated by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare pursuant to the provision Item 1 of Article 11 of the amended Act.
