Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has issued the Decision No. 541578/1291/1441 dated 09/06/2020 (17/10/1441 H), entitled "Temporary ban on the importation of equine originating from Germany"

Following the OIE report, ref. No. 23, Vol. 33 dated 4 June 2020, which indicates that Equine infectious anaemia has occurred in Germany, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of the disease into the country. Therefore, the importation of equine from Germany to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended. (The ban will be lifted automatically after three months from the final report).
