Product subject to regulation: Bee pollen and processed pollen
Substance subject to regulation: Pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PAs, 28 species)
Recommended level: No more than 0.2 mg/kg
Enforcement period: From 1 September 2019 until separate noticeCorrective measures will be taken in case a food product exceeds the recommended level:
Urge to meet the recommended level and recommend actions for improvement
(such as voluntary recall, labelling correction, etc.).
In case actions for improvement are not executed to meet the level, relevant information will be publicly disclosed.The legal basis for this notification is The Food Sanitation Act Article 7-2
