The DLD order on temporary suspension of importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Poland to prevent the spread of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (Serotype H5N8).

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 5 June 2020, the suspension for importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Poland has expired on 3 September 2020. However, There are reported a continued outbreak of Avian Influenza (HPAI) in area of Poland. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Poland s temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after publication in the Thai Royal Gazette (2 October 2020)
