The notified document establishes the provisional measure no longer requiring SAG to conduct on-site inspections and approval of sites where fresh melons (Cucumis melo), watermelons (Citrullus lanatus), pumpkins (Cucurbita maxima), courgettes (Cucurbita pepo) and cucumbers (Cucumis sativus) for consumption are grown and packed in the department of Ica, Peru. This provisional measure shall only cover the 2020-2021 season (i.e. the period between 1 July 2020 and 30 June 2021). The other guidelines set out in Resolution 4.324 of 2009 are not amended by this regulation. It should therefore be noted that packing establishments will continue to be authorized by means of enabling resolutions. Further details can be found in the document attached to this notification.
