Amendment to Resolution No. 7.214 of 2014 establishing phytosanitary requirements for the importation of certain species and types of ornamental plants for planting, of any origin

Chile hereby advises that Exempt Resolution No. 8.017 of 2020 of the Agriculture and Livestock Service amending Resolution No. 7.214 of 2014 establishing phytosanitary requirements for the importation of certain species and types of ornamental plants for planting, of any origin has been amended in view of the need to grant plant health authorities an appropriate period of time to adapt their internal procedures, so that they may certify, in line with the phytosanitary measure, that the material comes from listed production sites and packing facilities that are each registered with a unique code assigned by the official plant health authority of the country of origin, and that this material comes from an officially certified production programme or from germplasm nurseries or repositories controlled by the plant health authority. The above-mentioned amendments concern the following:
1. Point 4.2 is currently in force, with the exception of the provisions relating to the codes for production sites and packing facilities, which shall enter into force on 1 July 2021.
2. Points 4.1, 4.3, 5.1 and 5.2 shall enter into force on 1 July 2021.
This amendment entered into force on 26 January 2021.
