The DLD order on temporary suspension of importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Poland to prevent the spread of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (Serotype H5N8)

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 2 October 2020, the suspension for importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Poland has expired on 31 December 2020. However, the OIE has reported a continued outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) Serotype H5N8 in the area of Poland. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Poland is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after publication in the Thai Royal Gazette (22 January 2021).
