DLD order on temporary suspension of importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from France to prevent the spread of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (Serotype H5N8)

The OIE reported outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) Serotype H5N8 in Corse-du-Sud, Yvelines, Landes, Vendée, Deux-Sèvres, Hautes-Pyrénées and Pyrénées-Atlantiques of France. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Corse-du-Sud, Yvelines, Landes, Vendée, Deux-Sèvres, Hautes-Pyrénées and Pyrénées-Atlantiques of France is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette (2 February 2021).
