DLD order on temporary suspension of importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from the United Kingdom to prevent the spread of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (Serotype H5N8 and H5N1)

The OIE reported outbreaks of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) Serotype H5N8 and H5N1 in many areas of the United Kingdom. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses in Herefordshire, Leicestershire, North Yorkshire, Norfolk, Derbyshire, Dorset and Devon of England, in Orkney of Scotland and in Antrim of Northern lreland is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette (2 February 2021).
