In view of Chile's need to revise and correct the double regulation of species of the genus Salvia spp. and of the fact that the majority of species of this genus are ornamental, with only the species Salvia officinalis being considered as an aromatic and medicinal plant species, the Agriculture and Livestock Service (SAG) has decided to amend Resolution No. 3.333 of 2007 establishing phytosanitary requirements governing the importation of seeds of ornamental species.
The notified text also amends SAG Resolution No. 7.675 of 2016 establishing phytosanitary requirements governing the importation of seeds, of any origin, of fruit and vegetable crops and aromatic and medicinal plant species.
