The DLD order on temporary suspension of importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from the Netherlands to prevent the spread of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (Serotypes H5N1 and H5N8)

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 15 December 2020, the suspension for importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from the Netherlands has expired on 15 March 2021. However, the OIE has reported a continued outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in area of the Netherlands. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from the Netherlands is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after publication in the Thai Royal Gazette (21 April 2021).
