The DLD order on temporary suspension of importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from France to prevent the spread of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (Serotype H5N8)

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 16 December 2020, the suspension for importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from France has expired on 16 March 2021. However, the OIE reported Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in Lucciana, Haute-Corse department of France. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Haute-Corse department of France is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after publication in the Thai Royal Gazette (21 April 2021).
