In order to prevent the introduction of High Pathogenicity Avian Influenza (HPAI) virus into Japan, MAFF has suspended the import of live poultry, poultry meat and egg products from the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in France, including those shipped through third countries, since 22 March 2022, based on the "Animal Health Requirements for day-old chicks of poultry to be exported to Japan from France", "Animal Health Requirements for poultry meat etc. to be exported to Japan from France" and Articles 37 and 44 of the "Act on Domestic Animal Infectious Disease Control".

In order to prevent the introduction of High Pathogenicity Avian Influenza (HPAI) virus into Japan, MAFF has suspended the import of poultry meat and egg products from the State of South Dakota in the United States of America, including those shipped through third countries, since 25 March 2022, based on Articles 37 and 44 of the "Act on Domestic Animal Infectious Disease Control" and "Animal Health Requirements for the poultry meat etc. to be exported to Japan from the United States".

In order to prevent the introduction of High Pathogenicity Avian Influenza (HPAI) virus into Japan, MAFF has suspended the import of poultry meat and egg products from Hanson, Kingsbury and Hutchinson Counties, State of South Dakota in the United States of America, including those shipped through third countries, since 23 March 2022, based on Articles 37 and 44 of the "Act on Domestic Animal Infectious Disease Control" and "Animal Health Requirements for the poultry meat etc. to be exported to Japan from the United States".

In order to prevent the introduction of High Pathogenicity Avian Influenza (HPAI) virus into Japan, MAFF has suspended the import of live poultry, poultry meat and egg products from the province of Ontario in Canada, including those shipped through third countries, since 28 March 2022 based on the "Animal Health Requirements for day-old chicks to be exported to Japan from Canada", "Animal Health Requirements for poultry meat etc. to be exported to Japan from Canada" and Articles 37 and 44 of the "Act on Domestic Animal Infectious Disease Control".

In order to prevent the introduction of High Pathogenicity Avian Influenza (HPAI) virus into Japan, MAFF has suspended the import of live poultry from the State of Nebraska and poultry meat and egg products from the Merrick County, State of Nebraska in the United States of America, including those shipped through third countries, since 18 March 2022, based on Articles 37 and 44 of the "Act on Domestic Animal Infectious Disease Control", "Animal Health Requirements for day old-chicks and hatching eggs to be exported to Japan from the United States" and "Animal Health Requirements for the poultry meat etc. to be exported to Japan from the United States".

In order to prevent the introduction of High Pathogenicity Avian Influenza (HPAI) virus into Japan, MAFF has suspended the import of poultry meat and egg products from Meeker, Mower and Stearns Counties, State of Minnesota in the United States of America, including those shipped through third countries, since 31 March 2022, based on Articles 37 and 44 of the "Act on Domestic Animal Infectious Disease Control" and "Animal Health Requirements for the poultry meat etc. to be exported to Japan from the United States".

In order to prevent the introduction of High Pathogenicity Avian Influenza (HPAI) virus into Japan, MAFF has suspended the import of poultry meat and egg products from the Butler County, State of Nebraska in the United States of America, including those shipped through third countries, since 24 March 2022, based on Articles 37 and 44 of the "Act on Domestic Animal Infectious Disease Control" and "Animal Health Requirements for the poultry meat etc. to be exported to Japan from the United States".

In order to prevent the introduction of High Pathogenicity Avian Influenza (HPAI) virus into Japan, MAFF has suspended the import of live poultry from State of Kansas and poultry meat and egg products from Lincoln County, State of Maine and Franklin County, State of Kansas in the United States of America, including those shipped through third countries, since 15 March 2022, based on Articles 37 and 44 of the "Act on Domestic Animal Infectious Disease Control", "Animal Health Requirements for day old-chicks and hatching eggs to be exported to Japan from the United States" and "Animal Health Requirements for the poultry meat etc. to be exported to Japan from the United States".

In order to prevent the introduction of High Pathogenicity Avian Influenza (HPAI) virus into Japan, MAFF has suspended the import of live poultry from State of Illinois and poultry meat and egg products from McLean County, State of Illinois and Taylor County, State of Iowa in the United States of America, including those shipped through third countries, since 14 March 2022, based on Articles 37 and 44 of the "Act on Domestic Animal Infectious Disease Control", "Animal Health Requirements for day old-chicks and hatching eggs to be exported to Japan from the United States" and "Animal Health Requirements for the poultry meat etc. to be exported to Japan from the United States".

In order to prevent the introduction of High Pathogenicity Avian Influenza (HPAI) virus into Japan, MAFF has suspended the import of live poultry, poultry meat and egg products from the departments of Vienne and Charente in France, including those shipped through third countries, since 15 March 2022, based on the "Animal Health Requirements for day-old chicks of poultry to be exported to Japan from France", "Animal Health Requirements for poultry meat etc. to be exported to Japan from France" and Articles 37 and 44 of the "Act on Domestic Animal Infectious Disease Control".

In order to prevent the introduction of High Pathogenicity Avian Influenza (HPAI) virus into Japan, MAFF has suspended the import of live poultry from State of Wisconsin and poultry meat and egg products from Jefferson County, State of Wisconsin in the United States of America, including those shipped through third countries, since 16 March 2022, based on Articles 37 and 44 of the "Act on Domestic Animal Infectious Disease Control", "Animal Health Requirements for day old-chicks and hatching eggs to be exported to Japan from the United States" and "Animal Health Requirements for the poultry meat etc. to be exported to Japan from the United States".

In order to prevent the introduction of High Pathogenicity Avian Influenza (HPAI) virus into Japan, MAFF has suspended the import of poultry meat and egg products from Fulton and Webster Counties, State of Kentucky (narrow the restrictions to counties from state level) and Queen Anne’s County, State of Maryland in the United States of America, including those shipped through third countries, since 11 March 2022, based on Articles 37 and 44 of the "Act on Domestic Animal Infectious Disease Control", "Animal Health Requirements for day old-chicks and hatching eggs to be exported to Japan from the United States" and "Animal Health Requirements for the poultry meat etc. to be exported to Japan from the United States".
