In order to prevent the introduction of High Pathogenicity Avian Influenza (HPAI) virus into Japan, MAFF has suspended the import of poultry meat and egg products from Johnson and Neosho Counties in Kansas in the United States of America, including those shipped through third countries, since 19 October 2022, based on Articles 37 and 44 of the "Act on Domestic Animal Infectious Disease Control" and "Animal Health Requirements for the poultry meat etc. to be exported to Japan from the United States".

In order to prevent the introduction of High Pathogenicity Avian Influenza (HPAI) virus into Japan, MAFF has suspended the import of poultry meat and egg products from Logan County in Kentucky and Warren County in New Jersey in the United States of America, including those shipped through third countries, since 21 October 2022, based on Articles 37 and 44 of the "Act on Domestic Animal Infectious Disease Control" and "Animal Health Requirements for the poultry meat etc. to be exported to Japan from the United States".

In order to prevent the introduction of High Pathogenicity Avian Influenza (HPAI) virus into Japan, MAFF has suspended the import of poultry meat and egg products from the State of Utah in the United States of America, including those shipped through third countries, since 20 October 2022, based on Articles 37 and 44 of the "Act on Domestic Animal Infectious Disease Control" and "Animal Health Requirements for the poultry meat etc. to be exported to Japan from the United States".

In order to prevent the introduction of H5N1 high pathogenicity avian influenza (HPAI) virus into Japan, MAFF has suspended the import of poultry meat and egg products from the counties of West Sussex and Surrey of the United Kingdom, including those shipped through third countries, since 21 October 2022, based on the "Animal Health Requirements for poultry meat etc. to be exported to Japan from the United Kingdom (Great Britain and Northern Ireland)" and the Articles 37 and 44 of the "Act on Domestic Animal Infectious Disease Control".
