These notified annexes to the draft Regulation set proposed maximum residue levels (MRLs) for the substances acrinathrin, bifenthrin, carbetamide, cinidon-ethyl, fenpropimorph, metalaxyl and triflusulfuron. MRLs for these substances in certain commodities are changed: either increased or lowered. Lower MRLs are set after updating the limit of determinations and/or deleting old uses which are not authorised any more in the European Union or for which a human health concern may not be excluded. The residue definitions of the substances have also been updated.

These notified annexes to the draft Regulation set proposed maximum residue levels for cymoxanil, phosphane and phosphide salts and sodium 5-nitroguaiacolate, sodium o-nitrophenolate and sodium p-nitrophenolatein in or on certain products in Annex II to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005. MRLs for these substances in certain commodities are changed: either increased or lowered. Higher MRLs are set to accommodate new uses in the European Union and in third countries which export those commodities to the European Union. Lower MRLs are set after updating the limit of determination and/or deleting old uses which are not authorized any more in the European Union or for which there is not enough data for an MRL to be set.

These notified annexes to the draft Regulation set proposed maximum residue levels for 3-decen-2-one, acibenzolar-S-methyl and hexachlorobenzene in Annex II, III and V to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005. MRLs for these substances in certain commodities are changed: either increased or lowered. Higher MRLs are set to accommodate new uses in the European Union and in third countries which export those commodities to the European Union. Lower MRLs are set after updating the limit of determination and/or deleting old uses which are not authorized any more in the European Union or for which there is not enough data for an MRL to be set.

The draft regulation lowers the specific migration limit (SML) for BPA from plastic food contact materials in line with the EFSA opinion published in January 2015. It therefore amends Commission Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food. In addition, it applies the same SML to BPA from a varnish or coating applied to materials and articles. The notified draft also sets out the criteria for verification of compliance concerning varnishes and coatings, as well as laying down the requirements for the written declaration of compliance (DoC) for varnished or coated materials and articles.
