Following the WOAH report dated 3 December 2023, a Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) virus outbreak has occurred in Morbihan, France. In compliance with the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH), Terrestrial Animal Health Code Chapter 10.4, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of the HPAI virus into the country. Therefore, the import of poultry meat, eggs and their products from Morbihan, France to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended (with the exception of processed poultry meat and egg products exposed to either heat or other treatments that ensure deactivation of the HPAI virus, as long as it conforms with the approved health requirements, and standards, with a health certificate issued by the official bodies in France to prove that the product is free from the virus).

After signing the report of the technical and health requirements between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and South Africa, also based on the WOAH recommendation in Terrestrial Animal Health Code, Chapter 8.8, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is lifting the temporary ban on importing bovine, sheep and goats' meat from South Africa.

Following the WOAH report dated 9 October 2023, a Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) virus outbreak has occurred in Łódzkie in Poland. In compliance with the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH), Terrestrial Animal Health Code Chapter 10.4, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of the HPAI virus into the country. Therefore, the import of poultry meat, eggs and their products from Łódzkie in Poland to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended (with the exception of processed poultry meat and egg products exposed to either heat or other treatments that ensure deactivation of the HPAI virus, as long as it conforms with the approved health requirements, and standards, with a health certificate issued by the official bodies in Poland to prove that the product is free from the virus).

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has subsequently issued Decision No. 5067773 dated 17 September 2023, lifting the temporary ban on the importation of equine, embryos, ova and sperm originated from France.

Based on a WOAH report dated 7 August 2023,  Buenos Aires in Argentina is free from HPAI. In compliance with the WOAH Terrestrial Animal Health Code, Chapter 10.4, the risk of importing poultry meat, eggs and their products from Buenos Aires in Argentina is negligible.

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has subsequently issued the Notice Administrative Order No. 3633 dated 29 August 2023, lifting the temporary ban on importation of poultry meat, eggs and their products originating from Małopolskie in Poland based on the WOAH Report dated 3 August 2023, indicating that Małopolskie in Poland is free of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza Virus (HPAI).

Following the WOAH report dated 12 July 2023, a Newcastle disease outbreak has occurred in Podlaskie in Poland. In compliance with the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH), Terrestrial Animal Health Code Chapter 10.9, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of Newcastle disease into the country. Therefore, the import of poultry meat, eggs and their products (with the exception of processed poultry meat and egg products exposed to either heat or other treatments that ensure deactivation of Newcastle disease) from Podlaskie in Poland to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended.

After a technical visit to Azerbaijan done by a Saudi specialty team, they recommended to open importation of livestock from Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In compliance with the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH), Terrestrial Animal Health Code Chapter 10.4, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of HPAI into the country. Therefore, the import of poultry meat, eggs and their products (with the exception of processed poultry meat and egg products exposed to either heat or other treatments that ensure deactivation of avian influenza viruses) from Małopolskie in Poland to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended.

The Ministry of Environment Water and Agriculture is imposing temporary ban on the importation of equine, embryos, ova and sperm originated from France.

Based on a WOAH report, the Republic of Moldova is free from foot and mouth disease. In compliance with the WOAH Terrestrial Animal Health Code, Chapter 8.8, the risk of importing livestock from the Republic of Moldova is negligible.

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has subsequently issued Decision No. 186780 dated 18 June 2023, lifting the temporary ban on the importation of livestock originating from Jordan.

The Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture issued Decision No. 232453/104922/144 dated 29 March 2023 entitled "Temporary Ban on the Importation of Livestock originating from Türkiye". The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has subsequently issued Decision No. 182547 dated 11 May 2023, lifting the temporary ban on the importation of livestock originating from Türkiye.

Lifting of the temporary ban on the importation of meat and meat products of bovine, sheep and goat originating from Uganda to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as outlined in the Minutes of the Health and Technical Requirements for the Import of bovine, sheep and goat meat and their products signed by SFDA and Uganda.

In compliance with the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH), Terrestrial Animal Health Code Chapter 10.4, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of HPAI virus into the country. Therefore, the import of poultry meat, eggs and their products from Pyrénées-Atlantiques in France to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended (with the exception of processed poultry meat and egg products exposed to either heat or other treatments that ensure deactivation of HPAI virus, as long as it conforms to the approved health requirements, and standards, with a health certificate issued by the official bodies in France to prove that the product is free from the virus).

After a technical visit to Thailand done by a Saudi specialty team, they recommended to open importation of livestock from Thailand to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
