According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 11 July 2022, the suspension for importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Viet Nam has expired on 13 October 2022. However, the WOAH has reported a continued outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in area of Viet Nam. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Viet Nam is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days since 14 October 2022 onward in the Thai Royal Gazette.

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 11 July 2022, the suspension for importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from South Africa has expired on 13 October 2022. However, the WOAH has reported a continued outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in area of South Africa. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558(2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from South Africa is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days since 14 October 2022 onward in the Thai Royal Gazette.

The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) is proposing to revise the MOPH notification concerning "The Labelling of Pre-packaged foods" which is summarized in the attachment in item 5 of this notification.

The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) is proposing to set the MOPH Notification concerning "Health Claims in Foods", which is summarized in the attachment in item 5 of this notification.

In order to comply with the maximum level of certain contaminants provided in the Standard for Natural Mineral Waters (CODEX STAN 108-1981 which has been amended since 2019, the Notification of the Ministry of Public Health (No. 199) B.E. 2543 (2000) should be amended, which is summarized in the attachment in item 5 of this Notification.

For consumer protection, the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) is proposing to revise the MOPH Notification concerning the maximum residue level of pesticides in food through a risk-based framework focused on either short-term (acute) or long-term (chronic) exposures using Thai food consumption data and field trial data. According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 31 May 2022, the suspension for importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from France has expired on 29 August 2022. However, the WOAH reported Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) outbreaks in Vendée, Manche, Somme and Morbihan in France. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Vendée, Manche, Somme and Morbihan in France is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette (14 September 2022).

The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) considered that it was appropriate to revise the detail of maximum permitted food additives that have been authorized as follows:Clause 1 - The Annex I and Annex II of the Notification of the Ministry of Public Health (No. 418) B.E. 2563 issued by virtue of the Food Act B.E. 2522 Re: Prescribing the principle, conditions, methods and proportion of food additives (No. 2), dated 2 September B.E. 2563 (2020), shall be repealed and replaced with the Annex I and Annex II of this Notification.Clause 2 - Manufacturers or importers of food for commercial who had been granted the food product license prior the date of this Notification comes into force can further place their food products on the market for not more than two years from the date of entry into force if the products use food additives as listed in the Annex of this Notification and its conditions of use was adopted in 2022 (B.E. 2565).Clause 3 - This Notification shall come into force from the day following the date of its publication in the Government Gazette.

Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from India is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days since 4 September 2022 onward in the Thai Royal Gazette.

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 6 June 2022, the suspension for importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from the United States of America since 10 June 2022 has expired on 7 September 2022. However, the WOAH reported a Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) outbreak in the area of the United States of America. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from the United States of America is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days since  8 September 2022 onward in the Thai Royal Gazette.

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 6 June 2022, the suspension for importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from the United Kingdom since 10 June 2022 has expired on 7 September 2022. However, the WOAH has reported a continued outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in Devon of the United Kingdom. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Devon of England is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days notified since 8 September 2022 onward in the Thai Royal Gazette.

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 6 June 2022, the suspension for importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Poland since 7 June 2022 has expired on 4 September 2022. However, the WOAH has reported a continued outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in the area of Poland. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Poland is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days since 5 September 2022 onward in the Thai Royal Gazette.

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 6 June 2022, the suspension for importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from the Netherlands since 7 June 2022 has expired on 4 September 2022. However, the WOAH has reported a continued outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in the area of the Netherlands. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from the Netherlands is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days since 5 September 2022 onward in the Thai Royal Gazette.

The WOAH reported an outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in Spain. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza disease (HPAI) into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Spain is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette (1 September 2022).

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 17 June 2022, the suspension for importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from the Philippines since 30 June 2022 has expired on 27 September 2022. However, the WOAH has reported a continued outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in the area of the Philippines. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from the Philippines is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days since 28 September 2022 onward in the Thai Royal Gazette.

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 17 June 2022, the suspension for importation of live domestic and wild pigs and their carcasses from Germany since 19 June 2022 has expired on 16 September 2022. However, the WOAH has reported a continued outbreak of African Swine Fever in the area of Germany. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of African Swine Fever disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live domestic and wild pigs and their carcasses from Germany  is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days since 17 September 2022 onward in the Thai Royal Gazette.

The DOA implemented a new format, Phytosanitary Certificate and Phytosanitary Certificate for Re-export, on 1 August 2022. The following are features for the new Phytosanitary certificates and Phytosanitary Certificate for Re-export template for Thailand:1. The new certificate is printed on special paper-A4, with the light green watermark which displays the word "Thailand Department of Agriculture";2. The new phytosanitary number starts with TH with the 10-digit code number "THXXXXXXXXXX," which means:2.1 TH means Thailand;2.2 The first and second digits represent the year with the last two digits of the Buddhist Era;2.3 The third and the fourth digits represent the months of the year;2.4 The last six digits are the serial number of the Phytosanitary Certificate issued in order;3. A unique QR Code is located on the top-left corner of the Phytosanitary Certificate.Specimens of the new format of the phytosanitary certificate and Phytosanitary Certificate for Re-export are attached. The new certificates will become valid for use from 1 August 2022. During the transition period (until 30 September 2022), the new and the current certificates may be presented over time.

Following the WOAH reported outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in Nottinghamshire, Shropshire and Shetland Islands of United Kingdom            it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza disease (HPAI) into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act  B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Nottinghamshire, Shropshire  and Shetland Islands of United Kingdom is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette (26 August 2022).

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 18 May 2022, the suspension for importation of live domestic and wild pigs and their carcasses from Poland since 17 May 2022, has expired on 14 August 2022. However,  the WOAH has reported a continued outbreak of African Swine Fever in the area of Poland. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of African Swine Fever disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live domestic and wild pigs and their carcasses from Poland is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days since 15 August 2022 onward in the Thai Royal Gazette.

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 18 May 2022, the suspension for importation of live domestic and wild pigs and their carcasses from the Republic of Korea since 17 May 2022, has expired on 14 August 2022. However, the WOAH has reported a continued outbreak of African Swine Fever in the area of the Republic of Korea. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of African Swine Fever disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015),  the importation of live domestic and wild pigs and their carcasses from the Republic of Korea    is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days since 15 August 2022 onward in the Thai Royal Gazette.
